” Truth is a pathless land …”
On August 3, 1929, in the presence of Mrs. Besant and three thousand members of the Order of the Star present at Ommen, Krishnamurti dissolved the Order of the Star, of which he was the president.
“I maintain that Truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. That is my point of view, and I adhere to that absolutely and unconditionally. Truth. being limitless. unconditioned. unapproachable by any path whatsoever. cannot be organized: nor should any organization be formed to lead or to coerce people along any particular path. …
Truth cannot be brought down, rather the individual must make the effort to ascend to it. You cannot bring the mountain-top to the valley. If you would attain to the mountain-top you must pass through the valley, climb the steps, unafraid of the dangerous precipices. You must climb towards the Truth. it cannot be stepped down or organized for you.”
“It was like listening to the discourse of the Buddha – such power, such intrinsic authority ;” I show you sorrow and the ending of sorrow ” .
~Aldous Huxley
Krishnamurti radio ban
The Krishnamurti radio ban in New Zealand caused considerable agitation. The matter has since been brought up in parliament and Krishnamurti’s name appears frequently in the press and is much mentioned in political speeches . …
Mr. George Bernard Shaw happened to be in New Zealand at the same time and the epilogue of his play Androcles and the Lion was also banned.
Evening Post , Auckland
Mr. George Bernard Shaw is not seriously disturbed over the banning of the broadcast of the epilogue of his play Androcles and the lion at Christchurch. He considers. however. that the refusal to allow the well-known Indian religious teacher Krishnamurt to broadcast is a much more serious mistake. “A far less excusable case is the refusal to allow Mr. Krishnamurti to broadcast. He is a religious teacher of the greatest distinction, who is listened to with profit and assent by members of all churches and sects, and the prohibition is an ignorant mistake.
“The excuse as to broadcasting being controversial is nonsense. Everything that comes over the wireless is controversial except the time signal and the weather report… The authorities are evidently ignorant of Krishnamurti’s standing, and his admirably catholic doctrine…”

Krishnamurti 100 Years

Water ‘s child
Walking through pine forests, we climbed steep slopes; Krishnaji was agile, exquisitely balanced, clambering over rocks and taking the most strenuous shortcuts with ease ….
Krishnaii was enchanted with the place.
In the afternoons, after resting, he would teach Parameswaran English. In the evenings we walked at a slower pace…There was a trout hatchery, and Krishnaji spent time watching the swift movement of the fish.
Krishnaji was water’s child. He delighted in falling, leaping, running water, or water flowing over lichen-covered boulders, or water with no ripple. The translucence and the freedom of water, its enormous turbulence, its stillness or its thrust through earth and rock embodied him.
Krishnaji’s mood was young; no storms raged. Laughter was on his lips and his eyes. He drowned me in compassion and affection.
At times he was intensely serious and contemplative…. I saw this man of mystery, endowed with limitless beauty, comment on the “the wholeness of sunlight,” look up at a budding leaf, put his hands on a centuries-old tree, make friends with it, feel its bark, listen to the thunder of the sap as it flowed through the veins of a leaf. “The timeless is here, it lies under every leaf,” he would say.

Krishnamurti- A Biography
A great epoch in religious history
Krishnamurti’s contribution to education and his religious philosophy go together. As a sage and philosopher, he is incomparable and refreshingly original. He asked his listeners to take the journey with him in a spirit of togetherness; he was only a mirror which could be put aside if they looked into themselves. Without self. knowledge, there is no basis for right thinking. The ending of sorrow is the beginning of wisdom.
“Total negation is the essence of the positive. When there is negation of all those things that are not love. desire, pleasure – then love is, with its compassion and intelligence”. Out of this intelligence there is right action.

The passing away of J Krishnamurti in California on 17 February 1986 brings a great epoch in religious history to an end, but his teachings will remain as a torch for those who care and want to learn.
~G NarayanNew Swatantra Times, 1986..

When we stand completely alone, and in that stillness become a light to ourselves, there we will find Krishnamurti.
